1. You mean the “Ozzy was so freakin’ stoned he couldn’t remember the real lyrics” change in lyrics?

2. Significant additions, too, I’ll grant you, but that first verse always leaves me feeling like the dude was just a hair confused at the moment, since that’s a verse that pops up at the end of the album version… 😉

3. Dave, who knows…. it was 1970 so Ozzy hadn’t killed all his brain cells yet. 🙂 I think tho the story was the original wasn’t liked by the record company (too Satanic or something), so Geezer changed the lyrics.

4. Yeah, the lyrics in the vid are definitely… darker (??). I actually like the album lyrics better… Still, they played it well live, for sure. I love watching Bill Ward play, too – he hit the skins hard… which is pretty much how I play, too… Gorilla drumming at some of it’s finest 🙂 And, some really tasty fills there that don’t show up on the album, too…

   • I like the album lyrics better… but is that because they’re familiar to me, or seem to make a better, more cohesive message, I don’t know.
