Tulsa courthouse shootout

Article in the UK (of all places to print it) about a recent shootout at a Tulsa, OK shootout.

Has many pictures of the incident, taken by a bystander in a nearby building.

Excellent pictures (yes, there’s blood, don’t look if that bothers you). What’s great to see about the pictures is 1. the trigger finger discipline by the police, 2. that they seem to have gotten good hits from a distance… that’s hard to tell for sure based on the pictures, but it’s reasonable to imply based upon what you see.

Training good.

    • Were they arm and leg hits? The article said a deputy was shot in the arm… didn’t read anything about where the VCA was hit. I was just looking where the blood was in the photos and making some conclusions… but I could be very wrong about where he was hit.

  1. I thought I read that he was hit in both arms – maybe I misread. Then he was laying in the blood, which soaked into his shirt and made things look worse than they might’ve been?

Went back and read, though, and it was the deputy who was hit in both arms 🙂 My bad… Hmmm… Hard to tell where he was hit, but looks like they might’ve tagged him in the face or neck, actually (blood dripping down onto his arm in one shot). Definitely hit him in the leg, too, by the pictures.

Looks like the deputy was shot in both hands (typical gunfight injury) – http://www.tulsaworld.com/specialprojects/news/crimewatch/article.aspx?subjectid=450&articleid=20120309_11_A1_CUTLIN540661

This one claims the bad guy was struck in the face and torso – http://usnews.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/03/08/10608473-dramatic-shootout-outside-tulsa-courthouse

Good enough to stop the fight, anyway…

    • That’s what I thought too… face/neck, somewhere “up top”, and then yes in one you can see what appears to be a leg shot… but could that just be blood running? Hard to tell for sure.

But either way the bottom line is right: good enough to stop the fight.
