I see snow!

But only because I’m looking at my blog.

WordPress.com has a cute little feature for blogs where you can turn on “snow” to fall on the blog pages.

It’s fun. Why not? Closest I’ll probably get to seeing falling snow this season. 🙂

  1. Hmm, with a white background it is a little difficult to see the snow.

Last winter, it was nice to have actual snow on the ground instead of ice. Maybe we’ll get more this year.

    • That’s why I didn’t mind putting it on the site… you can see it at the top and in little bits here and there, but given my white background it’s not overly annoying. 🙂

While I miss the romantic notion of snow, I don’t miss all the functional problems it creates. If there’s any reason NOW that I want snow, it’s actually for my kids… because when you’re a kid, snow is fun.

  2. I’ve never been more embarrassed for you, Hsoi.

Falling web page snow is a gateway widget to harder web page effects. I’ve seen it happen before. One day, you’re just experimenting with snow. The next, you’re spamming 10,000 people to help fertilize your FarmVille pumpkin patch.

  3. You can have mine! I’ll share!! We’re going on foot 3 or 4 of the stuff (I refuse to keep track, and thankfully there was a slight melt in between….).

    • No that’s ok. I grew up with enough snow, enough “shut the entire city down for a week” blizzards, and all that stuff. I’ve had my fill for a lifetime. 🙂

      • We officially passed the local record snowfall for the month of December today, and there’s still two more weeks of the month to go (the record was 70.3 inches, just in case you were curious!)

  4. Thanks for the snow! I know I’m odd, but I miss snow since moving to TX, and I have a hard time getting into the whole Christmas spirit without it. Now I’m all cheery. Somebody turn up the AC so I can put on a sweater! 🙂
