Wow. Such high regard for your fellow man:
“I don’t think they should be able to, there’s too many people out there who make very irrational decisions, and I don’t think most people have the quality and intelligence to carry fire arms on campus,” said Jacob Wyers, a WTAMU student.
There’s so much wrong in that statement. It’s depressing.
Considering the number of veterans on campus…
Considering the number of active duty military that take classes…
Considering the number of law enforcement officers that are enrolled…
Considering the number of ‘non-traditional’ students in college…
Considering the number of students who are responsible and mature….
At least one part of his sentence is right —:I don’t think “
And let’s not even limit ourselves to students. What about all the faculty and staff? What about people that aren’t directly tied to the college (e.g. a community member coming on campus to see a play or other performance? a parent coming to visit their child enrolled at the college? a parent bringing their high school senior on a campus visit?).
It’s far more than just 18-21 year old students.
