Karl’s newsletters are always very informative. I thought is was an interesting to contrast the shooting we talked about earlier regarding the New Hampshire homeowner who fired a gun into the ground and held a burglar for the police. That homeowner was arrested, charged with reckless endangerment, and had all of his firearms confiscated. Then I read Karl’s linked story about a San Antonio man who fired several shots at a thief who was stealing potted plants. The thief was apparently grazed in the head by a bullet, but the spokesman for the San Antonio Police Department said “At this point he is protected because he was trying to prevent theft on his property.” Go Texas!!
The irony is New Hampshire’s “Live free or die” motto. *sigh*
