Some time ago, TXGunGeek and I tossed around the idea of having a Texas blogger gathering/shoot. It never came to pass since we’re both way too busy. But geez there are a lot of such types, so it would be cool to have such a thing one of these days.

    Oh, and there are a LOT more shooters in Austin than most people think. Me and a co-worker and constantly uncovering more of them and getting them involved in open discussions. Trying not to keep gun-nuttyness ‘underground’

    • Ah! well, can’t make that shoot. I commented tho. We’ll see what happens in the future.

      And yes, there are a lot more gun people in Austin than people want to admit. The reality is, look at how much gun business there is in town. Shops like Tex-Guns, McBrides, Heritage, even Cabela’s and Academy and such…. shooting ranges like Red’s, Lone Star (Lockhart), Austin Rifle Club, Best of the West, Eagle Peak…. and the list can go on. There’s a lot more around… just not as open, and certainly a higher ratio of “anti’s” than say, out in Brazos or Lee County. 🙂
