Hey, I resemble that remark…hmm, maybe even that smacks relevant here.
An interesting point and I think it goes hand in hand with the old Gandhi saying, “You must be the change you wish to see.”

I’d say the sayings have a slightly different intent, but the underlying notion is certainly coming from the same place.
